Why compression

Graduated compression which improved circulation of blood in your legs and feet. Available in both open toe and closed to versions.

What is 15–20mmHg?

Compression socks are rated by the pressure they apply at the ankle in millimeters of mercury. 15–20 mmHg is the mildest therapeutic range, suitable for most adults without a diagnosed condition. Higher ranges (20–30, 30–40) require fitting by a medical professional and usually a prescription.

Who shouldn't wear compression socks?

Do not use without physician clearance if you have: severe peripheral artery disease, acute deep vein thrombosis, diabetic neuropathy with loss of sensation, severe congestive heart failure, or an active skin infection on the leg. This isn't a complete list.

How do I size these?

By calf circumference, not shoe size. Measure around the widest part of your calf in inches, first thing in the morning. S/M — calf 12.5" to 15.5". L/XL — calf 15.5" to 19". Too-tight compression is dangerous, not more effective.

Open-toe vs closedtoe?

Open-toe: easier to put on and take off, better for hot weather or swollen feet. Closedtoe: standard sock feel, works under regular shoes, better for cold weather. Daily compression users usually prefer closed-toe.

How long can I wear them?

15–20 mmHg is designed for 8–12 hour wear windows. Remove at night. If new to compression, start with 2–3 hours and work up. Discomfort, numbness, or color change means they're too tight.
