Fit Guide
How to pick your size
Our daily-wear socks size by shoe size. Our compression socks size by calf measurement. Two different systems — they're not interchangeable.
Daily-wear sizing
| Size | US Men's shoe | US Women's shoe |
|---|---|---|
| S (7-9) | 6–8 | 7.5–9.5 |
| M (9-11) | 8–10 | 9.5–11.5 |
| L (10-13) | 10–12 | 11.5–13.5 |
| XL (13-15) | 12–14 | 13.5–15.5 |
If you're between sizes, or if you have a wider calf: size up. The nonbinding band stretches without cutting, so a slightly larger size won't slouch.
Compression sizing
Uses calf circumference, not shoe size. How to measure: sit down with feet flat. Use a soft tape measure around the widest part of your calf. Measure first thing in the morning.
| Size | Calf circumference |
|---|---|
| S/M | 12.5" – 15.5" |
| L/XL | 15.5" – 19" |
If your calf measures outside this range, compression may not work for you off-the-shelf. Email support@comfort-fresh.com.
When to size up vs. down
- Size up: wider calf, wider foot, between sizes, prefer looser fit
- Size down: narrower foot, prefer snugger fit
- Never: size down for compression — too-tight compression is dangerous, not more effective
Size up
Wider calf · Wider foot · Between sizes · Prefer looser fit.
Size down
Narrower foot · Prefer snugger fit.
Never size down for compression
Too-tight compression is dangerous, not
more effective.
