Fit Guide

How to pick your size

Our daily-wear socks size by shoe size. Our compression socks size by calf measurement. Two different systems — they're not interchangeable.

Daily-wear sizing

Size US Men's shoe US Women's shoe
S (7-9) 6–8 7.5–9.5
M (9-11) 8–10 9.5–11.5
L (10-13) 10–12 11.5–13.5
XL (13-15) 12–14 13.5–15.5

If you're between sizes, or if you have a wider calf: size up. The nonbinding band stretches without cutting, so a slightly larger size won't slouch.

Compression sizing

Uses calf circumference, not shoe size. How to measure: sit down with feet flat. Use a soft tape measure around the widest part of your calf. Measure first thing in the morning.

Size Calf circumference
S/M 12.5" – 15.5"
L/XL 15.5" – 19"

If your calf measures outside this range, compression may not work for you off-the-shelf. Email support@comfort-fresh.com.

When to size up vs. down

  • Size up: wider calf, wider foot, between sizes, prefer looser fit
  • Size down: narrower foot, prefer snugger fit
  • Never: size down for compression — too-tight compression is dangerous, not more effective

Size up

Wider calf · Wider foot · Between sizes · Prefer looser fit.

Size down

Narrower foot · Prefer snugger fit.

Never size down for compression

Too-tight compression is dangerous, not
more effective.
