What does non-binding actually mean?

Most socks get their grip from a band of elastic sewn into the top. Ours do not have one. The stretch is knitted into the ribbing, so it holds its shape, relaxes back after wear, and does not dig in.

How wide does the top stretch?

Ten inches laid flat, which is twenty inches around the leg. Lay the top flat and stretch it: it opens to 10 inches across, then returns to shape rather than staying stretched out. To check before ordering, measure your calf at its widest point and compare it to the 20-inch figure.

What they are made of

81.1% Rayon from Bamboo, 16.5% Polyester, 1.4% Spandex, 1.0% Elastic.

Bamboo against the skin

Bamboo fibre spins soft and moves moisture off the skin instead of holding it, which is why it is the yarn that touches your foot. The rest of the blend does the structural work: nylon for wear at the heel and toe, a little spandex so the ribbing recovers its shape.

Fibre regenerated from bamboo pulp is correctly called rayon, or viscose. That is what the care label says and that is what we say.

Machine wash warm, tumble dry low. No bleach, no fabric softener - softener coats the fibre and stops it wicking.

Bamboo fiber can absorb up to three times its weight in water and its fabric can evaporate 3-4 times as much moisture as cotton.
Cushioned Sole: Extra cushioning along the bottom and toe area has provided extra softness and double protection for your feet without excessive friction with shoes. The hidden seam toe area design is free from any irritation.
Anti-Slip: The big Y on the heel keeps the socks in place. The unique fabric is perfect all year round. In warmer months, it will keep your feet cool, and in colder months it will help insulate heat.
Washing tips: We recommend cold wash with a delicate cycle before you put them on. The fabric is durable and sustains its softness even through multiple washes.
