What does “non-binding” actually mean?

Most socks get their grip from a band of elastic sewn into the top. Ours do not have one. The stretch is knitted into the ribbing, so it holds its shape, relaxes back after wear, and does not dig in.

How wide does the top stretch?

Ten inches laid flat, which is twenty inches around the leg. Lay the top flat on a table and stretch it — it opens to 10 inches across, then returns to shape rather than staying stretched out. If you want to check before ordering, measure your calf at its widest point and compare it to the 20-inch figure.
